Job Description
Performs complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments involving the use of multiple application platforms, such as Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, Plant 3D, etc. software, to achieve set results and deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop Building Information Modelling (BIM) models for the discipline of underground and retaining structures associated with transport infrastructures (cut and cover tunnels, mined tunnels, etc), typically from LOD 200 to LOD350.
Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in the BIM Execution plan in force and the BIM project workflow.
Create structures BIM modelling elements and content.
From the models performed, develop the project 2D drawings sheets required by the Engineer, that includes but not limited to the reinforcement drawings, structural steel details, set out, etc.
Works in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues based in different offices.
Self-checks models and drawings for quality assurance, following the QAQC procedure in force in the project.
Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Experience working on developing BIM Models (+6 years), and experience working on preparing drawing sheets (+4 years) for the discipline of undergroun & retaining structures associated to transport infrastructures.
Excellent knowledge of modelling and drawing software packages, such as Autodesk Revit.
Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
Knowledge of BIM technologies, processes, requirements, and standards
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Experience working for clients in the USA, Canada and Australia will be considered favorable
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificated in a drafting technology Institute Technical or similar Professional Education - BIM Technician or higher equivalent education in the field of civil/structural engineering works.
