We are currently recruiting a Junior Designer with experience in bridges and/or structures design and team leading, to join our team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. Our internal clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering bridge engineering design for many years, throughout the USA and Australia, not to mention Canada or Middle East. Taking this key role, you may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a bridge (rail/road) or structures lead engineer on mid- to large size projects supported by ECMakes day-to-day decisions for a technical team, integrating resources from different EC offices (Poland, Spain, India)

  • Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts and conducts complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques

  • Categorizes packages of work to be done by EC, elaborates project execution plans and in combination with internal clients defines the delivery strategy, including composition of design teams

  • Performs quality control reviews, approves and signs off on work

  • Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to agreed upon budget for a specific package of workDelivers effective communicationTrains, mentors and evaluates less experienced staff

  • Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.

  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

  • Approves and signs off on work.

  • Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.

  • Presents complex technical solutions to clients.

  • Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.

  • Participates in development of technical proposals.

  • Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

Job Description

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of working on bridges and/or structures designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+5 years)

  • Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA, Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.)

  • Proficiency in engineering calculation software (preferable Midas Civil, CSiBridge / SAP2000 well seen)

  • Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management SystemTeam management experience

  • A university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferable)

  • Fluent English, a resume in English required.
