AECOM Yoruba Translator in Virtual, Maryland

AECOM is currently seeking Yoruba translators. Each qualifying candidate chosen will become a direct hire with AECOM and will be provided with full benefits and opportunities for advancement, after applicable time. The position can be performed remotely.
The position requires near-native to native level Yoruba and English competency, and a translation test on the ILR scale between 3 and 5. Translators will be required to perform a full range of tasks, including but not limited to monitoring and research on open source foreign language media, translation, summarization, and report writing. Training will be provided. No deployment required. No clearance required.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be fluent in Yoruba.
Must be fluent in English and have strong English writing skills.
Must have experience translating and summarizing a wide variety of complex texts from the source language into English. These texts may contain difficult, idiomatic, scientific, and colloquial writing.
Must be highly capable in Microsoft applications and internet research.
Must have demonstrated experience conducting research.
Must have the ability to review foreign language audio/video material and write/transcribe information into English with a high-degree of accuracy and expression.
Must be able to accurately capture cultural subtleties, nuance, and emphasis. A level of cultural mastery is required to capture socio-cultural essentials embedded in text, to include political, religious, historic, and ethnic elements.
One to three years' professional experience translating and summarizing a wide variety of complex text from the source language into English.
Experience with the open source internet research.
Fluency in additional foreign language/dialects.
