Due to our strong pipeline of projects, AECOM is looking for a Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics Specialist for projects in Tanzania. The projects are infrastructure projects involving ports and marine.

The Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics Specialist shall be responsible for for all matters related to ground investigation and characteristics of the soil.

Minimum Requirements

The Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics Specialist and must have a degree in civil/soil mechanics engineering and registered as professional engineer by relevant board with valid practicing license and a diverse background in infrastructure projects. The Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics Specialist must have at least 10 years’ experience in geotechnical investigation analysis for infrastructure projects. The Geotechnical/Soil Mechanics Specialist must have been involved in ground investigation study and soil analysis of at least 3 marine projects in a similar post for projects of similar nature and complexity.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work in Tanzania due to

nationality would be a requirement.
