Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a talented Scheduler for immediate employment in our Tampa, FL office. Project is located in DeLand, FL. The candidate will be working directly with our clients. The ideal candidate will display confidence, curiosity, be detail oriented, and have the desire to work on a wide variety site/infrastructure projects from the early conceptual stage all the way through reviewing the contractor’s schedules, reviewing time delay, negotiating change orders, sorting out time & materials, and claims. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide design/construction schedules for planning purposes

  • Provide group support with others in researching production rates, and means & methods

  • Provide group support with others in maintaining schedule and cost data and references

  • Work with project managers, contractors, and designers to report project schedule status

  • Review contractors baseline and monthly progress schedules

  • Prepare construction schedules for marketing and proposal efforts

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar related field

  • 4+ years of experience, including some project site experience working for contractors

  • Must be very familiar with MS Excel, Primavera P6, and know or be able to learn commercial off the shelf scheduling software

  • Must be able to develop quantity take-offs and construction schedules based on provided plans; and, interface with project managers, contractors, and various design disciplines to determine scope and review work product

  • Qualified candidates should be able to communicate well with clients, contractors, project managers and designers to define scope, discuss constructability issues and track schedule from concept through final design and support with field changes

  • Must be able to apply knowledge and experience of construction methods and procedures to our work process

  • Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference is given to candidates who have produced at risk bid schedules and cost estimates across a variety of project types

  • Preference given to candidate with skills with On-Screen Takeoff, Project Controls experience, and Microsoft Project skills

  • Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP by the AACEI) certified preferred but not required
