Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Bridge Design Engineer. AECOM’s Tampa office is renowned for its accomplished and nationally recognized bridge design team. We are responsible for a wide variety of bridge and transportation-related structures, ranging from conventional overpasses and complex interchanges to signature structures, including segmental, extradosed, and cable-stay bridges.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and checking design calculations for bridges and other transportation-related structures
Computer modeling of complex structures
Plans review and checking
Preparation of reports and specifications
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus
6 years of bridge design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Licensed Professional Engineer
Experience and proficiency with MicroStation, Microsoft Office Software, Mathcad, and other general software
Experience with Bentley’s LEAP Bridge Concrete software and BSI’s FB-MultiPier
Detail design oriented and experience and proficiency in structural analysis, steel and concrete design
Experience and proficiency in analytical, technical skills, and communication (oral and written) skills
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus
Experience with structural analysis software packages including Midas and Bentley’s RM Bridge
Experience on Florida DOT projects
Experience working in a team environment
Communication skills including presentation and written technical experience
Additional Information
Visa support is not an option for this position
Relocation is not an option for this position
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00.
