Due to the continued growth of our Water Business and a number of recent successes on Water Company Frameworks we have a number of exciting opportunities. We are seeking experienced Principal / Associate Project Managers to join our Water Utilities teams, working with our clients across the Midlands. You will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of large and complex water utilities projects, managing inputs from our specialist technical teams to meet our client’s requirements.
You will lead the delivery of complex and challenging projects for our Water Industry clients. As a member of our Framework Management team, your leadership and influencing skills will be vital in ensuring we understand and meet our client’s requirements and expectations.
You will manage a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and / or non- infrastructure water utilities projects, coordinating teams of engineers, hydraulic modellers , environmental scientists and technical specialists. You will be supported by a network of Deputy Project Managers, Project Controllers and Project Accountants. Your excellent communication skills will provide the interface with the client, delivery teams and supply chain. Acting as a role model, you will support the career development of more junior team members as their careers progress and the team grows further. You will be supported through training in AECOMs Project Management systems and you will work closely with our clients, ensuring that we meet their needs and deliver excellent results.

Demonstrable experience in managing complex projects in a client-facing role, preferably using the NEC suite of contracts.
Successful commercial delivery of projects, including financial accountability, risk mitigation, programme management and change control.
Ability to use internal project management systems to track and monitor project delivery and commercial performance.
Design management expertise, using multidisciplinary project teams located in different offices.
Experience delivering projects with offices in other geographies (desirable)
Understanding of the water industry client, their standards and procedures (desirable).
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in preparing, delivering and winning tenders for new work.
Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to support and supervise junior staff.
Flexible to travel to other AECOM and client offices.
Chartered with a relevant institution e.g. CIWEM, ICE or APM.
Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering or Environmental field or equivalent experience.
Project Management qualification (desirable).
