Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Technical Officer (M&E) to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervision of the construction of the mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance with local regulations.

  • To carry out regular site supervision and inspection of the electrical works/materials including any off-site production as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that mechanical and electrical works, including security systems, are constructed to required quality, accuracy and workmanship

  • To monitor work in progress in accordance to Approved Master Schedules with breakdown to Monthly, Weekly and Daily programmes

  • To assist the RE on daily, weekly and monthly reports of site progress as per contractor’s approved program, activities, issues and resolutions

  • To check and verify reports, variations and progress claims submitted by contractors, including as built quantity for the variations

  • To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the SO and RE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&E engineering or a related field

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, e.g. lighting, PA Systems, PABX, etc.

  • Proficiency in CAD software and building management systems

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • In-depth understanding of building codes and regulations in Singapore

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

  • Experience in energy management and implementing efficiency measures

  • Proven track record in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of complex M&E systems

  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed
