AECOM is seeking a NCRM Handler for the Bluegrass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant project located in Richmond, KY.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work.
Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility.
Non-contaminated Rocket Motor (NCRM) Handler must comply with Conduct of Operations (CONOPS).
Follow specific direction of Area Supervisor or Control Room Operator as appropriate.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly RCRA inspections (Storage of EONCS) as directed.
Monitor and control the handling, labeling, and disposition of decontaminated materials as needed.
Required to wear DPE, Level A, B, or C protective equipment to make entries into the chemical exclusion area as necessary to perform assigned duties.
Serve as emergency backup for toxic area entry teams when directed.
Must be able to obtain/maintain forklift/fork truck operator certification
Must be able to obtain/maintain crane operator certification.
Ensure Operations has zero environmental non-compliance.
Un-pack munitions, projectiles, and other containers received at the UPA and dispose of dunnage as directed.
Ability to obtain and maintain hazmat certifications to respond to emergent situations.
Operate ACAMS/Minicams to monitor EONCS to verify agent free for processing.
Complete all required certifications.
Package, label, transport of hazardous materials IAW BGCAPP.
Certification in LO/TO (CAE) maintained.
Stage munitions at the designated feeder line and process IAW BGCAPP (Standard Operating Procedure).
Receiving EONCS in the CHB bay and completing Munitions Accountability paper work.
Handling of leaking materials process with IAW BGCAPP Standing Operating Procedure.
Relocation will not be provided
BGCAPP is subject to Army Regulations (AR50-6 Chemical Surety Program and AR190-59 Unescorted Access Program) which govern persons performing work under the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP) and Unescorted Access Program (UAP). Eligibility to be placed in a CPRP or UAP position requires US citizenship. Employees must favorably complete a series of screenings to include but not limited to: a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) security investigation, drug/alcohol testing and medical examination.
All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment for the duration of their assignment. Respiratory screening and the ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required for this position. The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Blue Grass Army Depot is required.
High school diploma or equivalent and one year’s industrial experience in a demilitarization facility, chemical plant, nuclear or fossil power generating station, military, industrial service (e.g., secure facilities), or manufacturing plant.
Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) site access
Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment
Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any depot or BGCAPP drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement
Ability to operate forklift/fork truck or material handling lifting devices
Demonstrated experience working in a procedurally compliant environment
Demonstrated experience working in an environmental and safety compliant environment
Able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis and wear personal protective equipment.
Experience operating lifting devices, hoists, and overhead cranes
Experience reading and interpreting prints, drawings, diagrams, and operating instrumentation manuals
Experience working in a toxic/hazardous materials environment
Chemical demilitarization experience as a Munitions Handler or Ordnance Technician
Unexploded ordnance experience
Experience in a production or work management atmosphere
Team building skills to achieve excellence with all team members
