Job Description

The Water Business Line of AECOM in Raleigh, NC is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry-Level Engineer to join our team. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate the potential for success in Civil/Environmental Engineering specific to water, wastewater, and stormwater utility engineering with a focus on Department of Defense clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

  • Creates reports, designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer or scientist.

  • Perform field work to document existing site conditions and constraints.

  • Coordinates with other engineers and scientists.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. in civil engineering, environmental engineering, biological and agricultural engineering (BAE), or other related engineering degree

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to nature of work

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. in civil/environmental/BAE engineering or related field

  • Engineering Intern Certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment

  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor

  • Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient use of PC-based applications (MS Word, Excel, Access), as well as motivated, hardworking team player with attention to detail

  • Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work for up to 2 weeks at a time

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $56,680.39 - $77,935.54.
