Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a

Senior Systems Administrator in support of NAVAIR efforts in

Point Mugu, CA .

This is a contingent position.

The Senior Systems Administrator maintains data files and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation or mainframe.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for system security and data integrity.

  2. Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and works with management to define requests for information.

  3. Performs analyses of system requirements and develops operational software subsystems.

  4. Provide technical guidance to lesser-experienced systems administrators.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • At least 7-9 years of job-related experience.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

  • IAT II Level certification or higher (Security +, CISSP, CASM, CEH, etc).

  • Experience in real-time operating systems, distributed systems, timing and sizing analysis, performance analysis, data base design and management, and resource utilization assessment.

  • Background in machine and assembly languages.

  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to appropriately apply a methodology to projects that have reasonably well-defined project requirements and deliverables.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint.

  • Ability to successfully complete drug testing based on contract requirements.

  • Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders.

  • Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.

  • Professional oral and written presentation skills.

  • Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Last five (5) years of experience being involved in SPAWAR/NAVSEA/NAVAIR communications.
