Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated VP Senior Program Manager, Transportation based in Piscataway, New Jersey. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the project manager on large -scale projects with a CAPEX of $500M+ for key clients including NJTA, NJT, and NJDOT.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams of in-house engineers and architects as well as a multitude of subconsultants towards the execution of large projects.

  • Support the business development activities of the region by leading the pursuit and development of proposals and presentations for program management, design and possibly CM for transportation clients.

  • Lead negotiations of contractual and financial agreements with clients and sub-consultants.

  • Advise transportation clients on procurement strategies and development of technical and contractual provisions.

  • Manages the most complex and sensitive projects, often in multiple geographic locations. Many projects assigned are distinguished by their magnitude or program complexity, requiring that more than one person be involved.

  • Proactively identifies potential program problems or opportunities, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.

  • Authority to act independently or as a team leader representing IE with consulting firms and is responsible for ensuring that the final product of the project or program team reflects the original scope and budget requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • BA/BS in Engineering plus 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education, including 4 years of leadership

  • Demonstrated relationships with NJDOT (New Jersey Department of Transportation) or New Jersey Turnpike

  • New Jersey PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months of being hired

Preferred Qualifications

  • 20+ years of relevant experience

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $176,000.00 - $251,000.00.
