Job Description
Join our dynamic AECOM team as a Project Engineer working on innovative projects with clients such as Space Florida, NASA, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the Federal Aviation Administration. We are seeking a talented a Project Engineer to join our team in Titusville/Melbourne, FL, designing and overseeing civil infrastructure spaceport projects. This role involves leading spaceport civil engineering designs from conception through construction. Projects encompass a diverse range of infrastructure, including transportation systems, horizontal launch facilities, airfields, launch complexes, payload processing, buildings, utilities, and commodities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide limited technical direction to in-house staff and sub-consultants.
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures, including field investigations and research.
Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under the guidance of an experienced engineer
Coordinate and communicate project activities across departments and divisions
Guide entry-level engineers.
Assist in the development of presentations and report submittals.
Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules.
Propose engineering approaches to solve new problems encountered.
Apply engineering principles to solve problems.
Conduct basic engineering design tasks (conceptual, layout, and detail) and assist with detailed design work.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with four years of related civil engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience in civil engineering design.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License for visiting project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
US Citizenship is required due to nature of work involved.
Preferred:
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Building Information Modeling (Revit), Bluebeam, or similar applications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint.
Experience in civil engineering design through construction phase
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 12 months.
Experience with Federal, NASA, or similar government agency infrastructure projects.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00.
