Job Description

AECOM’s Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national, and international project experience to provide today’s municipalities, industries, and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our services to a wide range of public and private sector clients, delivering environmental planning studies, detailed designs, construction management services, and operations and maintenance expertise. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities to large urban centers, and agencies with regional responsibilities. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. https://aecom.com/markets/water/

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Water/Wastewater/Stormwater Engineer for our Florida Business. The ideal candidate will have experience working with state and federal grant programs specifically those involving hazard mitigation activities including flood reduction.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct project engineering reviews and benefit cost analysis for state and federal grant programs.

  • Participate with a team in engineering tasks, including preparing, assessments, reports, and schedules.

  • Conduct and coordinate tasks as assigned as part of preliminary and detailed design phases of engineering projects.

  • Gather and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Conduct quality checks and reviews to identify discrepancies in data and/or results.

  • Contribute to planning, design, permitting and construction phase services for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects as part of a team.

  • Communicate task progress to team leads in a clear concise manner.

  • Support client liaison and communication efforts as part of a project team.

  • Responsibilities may include contributing to the preparation of reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages and documents.

  • Coordination with colleagues, clients, and sub-consultants will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Civil, Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progressive experience in municipal water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure engineering design, assessment and rehabilitation, conveyance, and pumping systems

  • Experience working with state and federal grant programs specifically those involving hazard mitigation activities including flood reduction.

  • Capable of contributing to business development activities, and to pursuing new clients/projects

  • Working towards Professional Engineer licensure in Florida.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $61,063.44 - $112,967.37.
