Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Air Quality Source Test Scientist to join our Southern California team in our Orange, CA office. The selected candidate will join AECOM’s EHS + Air practice within the Environment Business Line. The primary emphasis of the group is to support clients with their stack testing needs for a variety of federal, municipal, and private-sector clients.
The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of experience coordinating and conducting emission source testing in a variety of industrial settings and demonstrated experience in:
Source testing in California, including experience executing sampling methods SCAQMD 1.1-4.1, 5.1, 5.2 25.3 and 100.1.
Managing project tasks; scheduling work, coordinating resources and managing subcontractors; etc.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science or related field.
4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in air quality compliance.
Willingness to perform field work and travel.
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
Requires enrollment in the medical monitoring program requiring initial and annual physicals.
Climb ladders, work at heights in outdoor climates year-round, and lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
6+ years of air quality compliance experience.
Demonstrated source testing experience within South Coast Air Quality Management District.
Knowledge in the practices required to generate valid scientific data.
Experience with continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), EPA Methods and emissions monitoring equipment.
QSTI certification
Calculate air emissions according to scientific and regulatory standards.
Strong focus and attention to detail
Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.

- Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00.
