Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineering Manager to be based in Orange, California .

Typical duties to be performed by the Construction Engineering Manager, but not be

limited to, the following:

  • Performing and assisting in performing the duties of a Resident Engineer, including, but not limited to, roadway construction inspection, quantity calculations, checking grade and alignment, labor compliance interviews, traffic control review, and assuring compliance with project plans and specifications.  

  • Identifying actual and potential problems associated with the construction project.

  • Work and recommend sound engineering solutions in a timely manner.  

  • Maintaining an awareness of safety and health requirements and assuring.

  • Compliance with applicable regulations and construction contract provisions for the protection of the public and construction project personnel.  

  • Preparing quantity calculations, records, reports, and correspondence related to construction project activities.  

  • Assisting in the preparation of final As-Built plans and reports at the completion of construction.  

  • Performing and assisting in all aspects of required office construction engineering work including setting up and maintaining project files, processing required documents and progress payments, as necessary.  

  • Performing the Inspection and compliance monitoring of Storm Water Pollution. 

  • Prevention Plans (SWPPP)/Best Management Practices (BMP).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 8 year of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid Driver License required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering License is preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Degree, Construction Engineering, or related field from an accredited university

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working on highway/transportation projects as a resident engineer

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $210,000.00.
