Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager for immediate employment in Oakland, CA office. The position is for an experienced Project/Program Manager with experience engineering and managing the design and construction of electrical transmission projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Management on electrical distribution systems from planning and engineering through construction

  • Managing project implementation including schedule, budgets, quality and safety

  • Resource planning and management - including managing company resources assigned to the project as well as third party vendors and contractors

  • Direct the efforts of the full engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning team in creating the execution plans, organization, and contracts needed to deliver the project within the stated cost and schedule.

  • Continue to build a positive relationship with highly important & strategic clients who have significant future work in the area.

  • Full project accountability that is monitored through monthly reporting to the project sponsors.

  • Preparing and issuing Progress Reports

  • Monitoring compliance with various regulatory statues as well as compliance with applicable AECOM policies and procedures.

  • Proposal support

  • Project stakeholder management and interface

Creation and implementation of Project Execution Plans (PEP's)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (construction management or engineering)

  • 10+ years of experience including project engineering, project management and/or program management

  • Experience with power, transmission & distribution, high medium & low voltage systems required.

  • Project management experience to include facilitating meetings, execution of normal project management tasks, provision of project deliverables including schedule, cost, safety and quality reporting, and client interface management and communication

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

  • Experience with Unifier

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Experience with Primavera 6
