Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly qualified Office Engineer - Highway & Bridge Projects to be based in Oakland, CA.

Core Responsibilities:

The Office Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of highway and bridge projects through meticulous documentation and process management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and process essential project documentation, including change orders, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and transmittals, with utmost precision and attention to detail.

  • Provide crucial support to the engineering staff by conducting complex engineering calculations, operating specialized equipment, and performing rigorous inspections to ensure strict compliance with project specifications.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures to consistently meet project deadlines and achieve optimal results.

  • Oversee and mentor junior-level technicians, fostering their professional development while maintaining high standards of performance.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will play an integral part in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our transportation projects.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • •Experience in Transportation Construction on large scale projects as an Office Engineer.

  • Experience with other transportation-related project documentation such as documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals.

  • EIT is desired.

  • Relocation is not available for this position

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $103,974.00 - $192,352.00.
