AECOM Sonar Technician - Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) in Norfolk, Virginia

AECOM is actively seeking an Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) technician to provide technical support and engineering services for Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 293. Provide inspection and assessment support (TSRA, PIA, C5RA, ICMP, INSURV, etc.) for the Sea Sparrow system, peripherals, and interfaces.
Essential Responsibilities :
Provide testing and alignment support for the Sea Sparrow system
Localize and repair faults in the Sea Sparrow system
Provide daily oral and written reports and appropriate assessment evaluation forms to the assigned Technical Director and designated MARMC team leader
Provide completed Material Assessment Forms and Technical Assistance Visit report (TAVR) to Code 293 as required
Perform other technical duties as assigned by MARMC Code 293
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs necessary for report filing
Position requires the ability to work onboard US Navy ships and access ship repair industrial facilities.
Position may require travel
Position requires an active Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card
A minimum of six (6) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 10 years in installation, testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems and equipment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years full-time engineering experience with in the last 5 years in assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of shipboard Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved.
Position requires a Secret Security Clearance
