Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to be based in our New York Metro office.

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for the following items:

  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for a team

  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise

  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost effective work by others

  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables

  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects

  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E package

  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings

  • Prepares technical specification sections

  • Provides input to the development of the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering or related discipline and six (6) or more years related experience in structural design of buildings and structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education

  • Must have ETABS, SAP, SAFE & AutoCAD, experience to qualify for this position

  • PE License in Civil/Structural engineering is required

  • Valid US Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experienced in structural analysis modeling and design using finite element analysis method

  • Specific software experience in RAM Structural, and, TEDDS, Mathcad, SpecsIntact, spColumn, spBeam, spWall, Enercalc

  • Microstation & Revit experience are highly desirable

  • Masters in Structural Engineering

  • 10+ years experience preferred

Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $143,000
