Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join either our Bloomfield, NJ or New York Metro offices and work on exciting and challenging projects for a variety of clients.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of programmatic requirements
Develops planning and creative design concepts for projects
Prepares designs, 3D renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings
Works under only general direction
Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods under the general supervision of a manager or senior manager to meet project specifications
The employee works with the project team to execute the project from concept to execution and completion
Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies, and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project
May manage various size groups of architects, designers, and/or specialists
May work on modest-sized projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Architecture or related field plus eight (8) years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Professional experience using AutoCAD or REVIT and Microsoft office
Preferred Qualifications
8 years of relevant professional experience
K-12 & higher education experience in New Jersey . Experience with working with NJDOE, NJSDA & NJDCA
Relevant professional experience in construction administration
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00.
