Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Public Relations Coordinator to support our New York City based team. This position will be based in New York City and will allow for a flexible work schedule to include a combination of both office and remote work arrangements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing inbound press email inquiries, social media calendar, and press release tracker

  • Drafting social media copy and content

  • Measuring and analyzing the impact of campaign activities through performance dashboards that track appropriate metrics and analytics.

  • Supporting external content development, including editorial calendars, project trackers and award submissions.

  • Researching, outlining, writing, editing and proofreading communications materials.

  • Leveraging communication programs, message platforms, assets and channels to support business priorities.

  • Supporting efforts to ensure messages reach target audiences.

  • Coordinates the administrative functions of the communications department.

  • Employee receives clear and specific instructions.

  • Follows standardized instructions or procedures.

  • Employee consults with manager on matters not covered in original instructions.

  • Provides support, coordinates, and assists in the department activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or a related field.

  • Previous communications related experience a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness of all work.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $23.00/hour - $32.00/hour.
