Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Deputy Construction Manager, MNR Coordination for immediate employment for the NYC Metro office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Conducting preplanning workshops with MNR and the contractor

  • Obtaining draft CWP/SWP documents from the contractor

  • Reviewing contractor submissions and schedules

  • Presenting plans to MNR seeking approval

  • Managing the interface with MNR to address all comments and questions until plan approval is achieved.

  • Additionally monitoring the active work on a daily basis to ensure compliance with the approved plans and monitoring progress against the schedule.

  • Report concerns, suggest options, develop supplemental or altered plans accordingly to satisfy MNR operational and safety needs.

  • Attend and participate in a weekly progress meeting and chair/conduct a weekly Force Account meeting with MNR, contractor and ESA representatives.

  • This is primarily a construction management role that is specialized by the interface with the railroad.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

  • Must have 7+ years of rail construction experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • OSHA 10

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field of study

  • NYC rail experience preferred
