Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Risk Manager to join our team. The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our projects and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Identification and Assessment:

  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks and processes.

  • Identify potential risks related to project execution, operational activities, financial management, and compliance.

  • Conduct risk assessments, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Risk Mitigation:

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust as necessary.

  • Ensure that all risk management activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Maintain comprehensive risk registers and ensure accurate documentation of all risk-related activities.

  • Track and report on risk metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with project managers, financial analysts, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to integrate risk management into their respective areas.

  • Facilitate risk workshops and training sessions to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.

  • Communicate risk management policies and procedures to all relevant parties.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to risk management policies and procedures.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CRM, FRM, PRM, PMP) are preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the construction, engineering, or financial sectors.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing risks in complex projects or operations.

  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.

  • Personal Attributes:

  • Proactive and self-motivated.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
