Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Digital Water Growth Lead to support our Canada Region Digital Advisory and Digital Implementation services within the Water Business Line and be based out of Toronto or Vancouver. In this critical role, you will take charge of developing, advancing, and executing our strategy to establish a commanding presence in the digital water sector. This includes driving the expansion of our digital consulting (advisory and implementation) services business and associated practice areas within the Canada Region

As the Digital Water Growth Lead at AECOM, your mission will be to cultivate and direct a specialized digital consulting practice, concentrating not just on team growth but also on the strategic evolution of this essential business area. In alignment with AECOM's overarching global water and digital strategies, your role will be pivotal in nurturing and enhancing client relationships through cutting-edge Digital Water services and solutions, thereby significantly boosting AECOM's digital consulting contributions in the region.

As digital experts and trusted advisers to the architecture, engineering, and construction industries, Digital AECOM is the bridge between the digital and infrastructure worlds, equipped to create a more sustainable and equitable future, and to deliver a better world.

As a member of the Canada Region digital team, you will work with professionals in the Water Business line across Canada and with other business lines in the geography and around the world to advance AECOM’s global digital advisory strategies and projects. The regional digital strategy is closely coordinated and integrated with the overall regional growth strategy; however, this role is expected to support the build an independent digital consulting business.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude, is customer focused, a critical thinker and problem solver and ready to apply their knowledge and skill sets to establish a rewarding, long-term career utilizing principles and methods for AEC Digital Consulting projects and business development across Digital Strategy, Data Analytics/Automation/Science, Integration and Implementation, and Custom Application and Solution Development.

As the Digital Water Growth lead for the Canadian Water Business Line you will be a champion for:

  • Engaging with capture teams by providing digital subject matter expertise on Enterprise Critical Pursuit.

  • Developing new digital advisory opportunities for key water accounts across Canada with a focus on intelligent water systems, digital twins, enterprise asset management systems, data analytics, ESG and project information management systems.

  • Shape and develop Go To Market Story-telling for services, solutions and partners for Digital Water

  • Ensuring that the AECOM Digital advisory project work is aligned with its overall client solution management, development, analytical, and planning objectives.

  • Champion and connect the dots for opportunities across the Future Energy/Water Nexus for key accounts and partners.

  • Identifying new technologies that will help improve efficiency or customer satisfaction for Digital Consulting clients and partners by recommending partnerships and possible acquisitions based on client demand and company maturity.

  • Collaborate with account teams, market leadership, and industry leads to identify and prioritize target clients and technology promotion;

  • Assessing the current state and maturity of digital and design within a client organization, including its effectiveness and efficiency, and create business cases for developing into solutions.

  • Plays a key role in the elevation of company brand in the area innovation to achieve the goals of excellent client experience and is expected regularly engage C-Suite client executives.

  • Leverage internal and external research, design thinking and other methods (such as value hack, disruption diagnosis, etc.), to identify transformational hypotheses, anchored in our key transformational themes to capture trapped value.

  • Developing and managing designers, programmers, data specialists, and/or content producers in custom application and solutions development

  • Team development and mentoring

  • Leverage internal and external research, design thinking and other methods (such as value hack, disruption diagnosis, etc.), to identify transformational hypotheses, anchored in our key transformational themes to capture trapped value.

  • Provide thought leadership on market-leading trends grounded in innovation and digital technology

  • Craft a positive, fair, and open work environment where team can freely report business challenges and exchange knowledge to improve and achieve common goals, managing a team of digital technicians and specialists to support all aspects of a client’s organization’s digital strategy.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree+ 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 5 years of digital leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • 15+ years of working leadership experience related to digital product management, digital transformation, platform and solutions design architecture, and business case development.

  • Demonstrated experience in the water industry markets with experience in technology planning and implementation for water and wastewater utilities, public municipalities, federal government, and private industrial and mining organizations.

  • Experience in process automation systems planning and implementation including cutover, migration, and construction of the physical hardware and software/programming integration

  • Experience in building a business case for digital solutions capability development, defining the rollout plan, and supporting ongoing sustainment model by providing accurate research and inputs within enterprise frameworks

  • Experience wining and executing digital advisory engagements

  • Knowledge of financial reporting (return on investment)

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $125,000.00 - $210,000.00.
