Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Deputy Director – QA/QC, Logistics, HS&S and Permitting to join our team. This position is based out of Mississauga.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a deputy to the PMO Services Director, overseeing and integrating PMO Services functions, including QAQC, Logistics, Safety, Security, and Permitting.

  • Provides leadership and guidance to Leads and Managers within the PMO Services function, ensuring alignment with program objectives.

  • Participates in management and executive-level reporting and decision-making forums, offering expertise on QAQC, Logistics, Safety, Security, and Permitting matters.

  • Supports the delivery team with subject matter expertise and strategic advice on QAQC, Logistics, Safety, Security, and Permitting issues.

  • Ensures the accuracy and quality of executive-level management reports prior to their release.

  • Reviews and validates the completeness and effectiveness of program management plans related to QAQC, Logistics, Safety, Security, and Permitting.

  • Collaborates closely with the PMO Services Director and the Deputy PMO Services Director for Controls & Commercial to ensure seamless and integrated PMO Services operations.

  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and career development support to staff, fostering professional growth and development.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

University Degree + 10 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Typically, a minimum of 20 years of professional experience in a program controls or commercial management leadership role.

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs greater than CAD $2BN.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large multi-party teams and assessing the competency requirements of the team.

  • Strong technical capability in all aspects of program QAQC, Logistics, Safety, Security and Permitting.

  • Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision making.

  • Familiarity of working in collaborative project environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with large groups of stakeholders.

  • Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $142,000.00 - $255,000.00.
