Job Description
AECOM is seeking an innovative Strategic Growth Lead for the Traffic and Technology/ITS Division in both the West Coast and Greater West areas. These two areas include 22 states, from the west coast to the Midwest. In this role, you will take charge of advancing and executing our strategy to grow the traffic and technology/ITS transportation sector. This includes coordinating with the division leaders; the team’s project managers; and at times meeting with clients.
Ultimately, as the growth leader, you will be accountable for developing a clear go-to-market strategy and capture the pipeline of identified opportunities. This position offers the flexibility of (a) remote work schedule and will require 20-30% of your time traveling to various AECOM offices, industry conferences, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Technical Advisory:
- Serve as a liaison between clients and technical teams to guide the creation of solutions that effectively address client challenges. This role will specifically offer identified services focused on selecting top-tier technologies and integrated business processes for the traffic and technology/ITS division.
Business Development and Client Engagement:
Engage in high level, unstructured conversations with the division leaders to enable problem identification and business case development.
Identify and assist in developing key client relationships and monitor client satisfaction levels, in coordination with existing Client Account Managers when applicable.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 10 years’ experience in traffic and/or technology projects and solution delivery for transportation industry planning and design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starter with the ability to work as a positive, energized and adaptable team member.
Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and influence senior leaders.
Strong relationship building skills.
Demonstrated ability to champion and drive ideas/programs/solutions.
Well established ability to translate and liaison between business level problems and challenges to highly technical solutions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work cross business lines in understanding and collaboration.
Demonstrated client (internal and external) relationship and business development capabilities.
Demonstrated innovation and technical leadership delivery.
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skill
Demonstrated experience in development of scopes, fees, and proposals.
This position requires the ability to travel 20-30% to various client site locations, industry conferences, and AECOM offices.
Additional Information
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $125,000.00 - $200,000.00.
