Job Summary

The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Construction Engineer for immediate employment in the Milwaukee, WI office. The appropriately qualified candidate will be based out of the Milwaukee office and will work on a wide variety of projects in the South East region.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Construction inspection and administration of WisDOT and municipal projects. Previous WisDOT project experience is beneficial to this position

  • Prepared to work in the vigorous environment of Transportation Construction

  • Communicating directly with contractors, engineers, and clients

  • Coordinate construction schedules to ensure items of work are constructed according to contract documents

  • Work both independently and with other team members to complete quality WisDOT construction projects on time and within budgets

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • P.E. license in Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 2 years

  • WisDOT construction experience and practices

  • Familiarity with WisDOT: Standard Specifications, Field Manager, Pantry

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • The following skill sets are desirable but not required:

  • GPS and Survey equipment knowledge

  • Familiarity with Civil 3D and AutoCAD

  • Familiarity with municipal, county, and non-WisDOT construction projects

  • Familiarity with roadway, structure, and design experience

  • The ability to obtain WisDOT material certifications including AGGTECH, PCCTECH, Nuclear Density
