AECOM is seeking CLEARED Locksmiths to install, repair, replace, and maintain locks; open locks without keys by picking, impressing, drilling, and duplicating keys. Responsibilities include the following:
Install mortise, rim, and key for door locks; replace and install all finished buildings hardware such as door closures, panic bars, window closures and locks.
Repair locks on file cabinets, desks, and other pieces of furniture.
Perform master key and re-keying function; design key bypass systems and maintain accurate records of such systems.
Duplicate keys and establish/maintain accurate records of key assignments; record changes in key and lock assignments.
Service emergency locking devices such as panic bars to insure safe performance.
Use and operate tools of the trade.
Work from preventive maintenance schedules.
Assist in development and revision of maintenance schedules.
Assist or aid outside contractors as required with knowledge of facilities, operations and utilities.
Respond to emergency calls.
Perform other job related work as assigned.
Must be able to obtain one of the following certification(s) within 6 months of hire: Registered Locksmith Certification, Certified Professional Locksmith, Medeco Factory Certified, Practical Master Keying, Unican Factory Certification, Yale I.C. Factory Certification and ASSA High Security Certification
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DCJS License
Possess an active TS with poly
2-4 years of carpentry trade experience
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Demonstrate strong verbal communications and a courteous manner in dealing with customers
Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions
A willingness to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, evenings and nights, as well as, overtime, weekends, and holidays
