Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate for our Transportation team based in our Markham, ON office.

This is a full time role expected to begin in 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares roadway designs, calculations, quantities, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer

  • Prepares meeting minutes and correspondence under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager

  • Assists in the day-to-day project coordination activities

  • Collects and analyzes data

  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems

  • Performs work in accordance with project budgets and schedules

  • Performs work in accordance with established quality control processes

  • The selected individual would be working in the Transportation BL on municipal road projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have completed or will be completing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge in the use of one or more of the industry-relevant software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoTURN, Civil3D and Inroads/OpenRoads)

  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative, high paced, team environment

  • Time management skills, prioritization of task deliverables and delivering within a deadline-orientated environment

  • High Self-motivation to continuously learn while completing assigned work tasks

  • Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and working towards professional engineering licensure (P.Eng.), with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

  • Co-op experience is considered an asset

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00.
