Flagship Ministry of Defence Projects includes Project Wellesley at Worthy Down, and the new Gosport Oil Fuel Depot, Marham Aviation Infrastructure as well as other major schemes such as the £2bn Programme at Heathrow – Future T2, Lower Thames Crossing and HS2.

The Defence sector team is located across the UK and you will be based out of one of our regional offices to suit you such as London, Basingstoke, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Leeds. You will provide Project and Programme Management Services across not only Defence but also a wide range of sectors.
Our key clients include the Ministry of Defence (Defence Infrastructure Organisation), the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), the Department of Education, and the Government Property Agency. Our team is growing to support our work in Defence and we are currently delivering a number of exciting projects both in the UK and Overseas for the UK Ministry of Defence.
As a Project Manager, you will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves providing client-side project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from option studies, option development, construction tender support through to NEC or JCT contract administration.
Client-side project management, including stakeholder, schedule and contract management
Provide an interface with AECOM clients (new and existing)
Develop strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders and members of the
multi-disciplinary project team
Support in the delivery of Project Management commissions, contributing to their successful outcome
Manage the efficient delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
Support the co-ordination and sign-off of all management information produced by the project management team prior to issue
Good working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, and commercial awareness
Collaborative management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Specific industry and project experience for Government Sector
Flexibility to work at sites across the UK (including UK MOD sites requiring SC/DV Security Clearance)
Flexibility to deploy for short duration International visits (including UK MOD Overseas Operational Theatres)
Valid UK driving licence
Qualified Project Manager (APM affiliation preferred)
Chartered or working to Chartered Status with an industry recognised Professional Body
Security Cleared and willingness to apply for Developed Vetting (DV) status.
NEC3 / NEC4 Accredited PM preferred
