Are you a talented and ambitious Senior Cost Manager looking to work on exciting infrastructure projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?
We are looking for experienced Senior Cost Managers to support our exciting growth plans, working with our key infrastructure clients, particularly in the highways sector, supporting the successful delivery of their capital projects and programmes of work. You will be joining an established team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
As a Senior Cost Manager within our Buildings & Places Infrastructure team, you will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile and exciting key clients within the highways sector, such as Highways England. The role may also present opportunities to work across water, environment, rail and power sectors, delivering projects for clients such as the Environment Agency and Network Rail.
The role will cover all aspects of cost management throughout the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. Duties include (but not limited to):
Lead and deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion, working with Associate Director/Director, client and others as required; Including (but not limited to) feasibility estimates, cost planning (presenting with no supervision), contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering and commercial awareness, fee generation, risk management, dispute resolution, post contract management (competent in cost reporting), cost management, agreement of final accounts.
Achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.
Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process and AECOM technical practice networks.
Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.
Actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff on technically complex projects.
Be aware of and develop marketing opportunities and where appropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the Business Development Department, in order that they may assist in following up potential leads enabling the development of new business.

Good knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)
Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
Experience of using contract and cost management systems such as CEMAR and Prism would be of benefit.
Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement would be of benefit.
Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent);
Accredited MRICS / working towards membership (or equivalent)
