Our UK&I highways teams have vacancies for experienced Digital Project Leads.
The team is highly successful and our workload is growing providing opportunities to be involved in a number of major highways schemes. We are currently delivering major highways and infrastructure projects for high profile clients across the UK. To help us to achieve our ambition we are expanding our digital delivery team and are seeking individuals who have a sound technical background and share our enthusiasm and determination to deliver successful projects.
Projects we are currently working on include:
A1 Doncaster to Darrington, M1/ M62Lofthouse
M11 Junction 7A
The successful candidate will have experience of industry standard digital applications, working as part of collaborative project team and a proven record of delivering to quality, time and budget.
You will take a leading role in managing our digital processes at a project level as well as supporting our Digital Transformation Strategy through workflow development. Your principal duty will be to manage all digital-related activities from project start-up to completion specifically:
Carry out the duties of Project Digital Lead to PAS 1192 requirements
Lead development of the project Information Execution Plan (IEP), MIDPs and TIDPs.
Manage the Project Information Model (PIM) in an efficient manner to comply with the IEP and any project protocols
Support and develop the project team to be self-sufficient in delivering the IEP, providing necessary training and coaching
Coordinate the design models, carry out model federation and extract information for use by the project team
Lead project-level, Interdisciplinary Design Reviews, conduct clash detection and report findings
Review and audit the design models, carry out QA/QC checks to assure the quality of the models and data sets
Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) in accordance with project protocols
Troubleshoot problems and help resolve digital design issues
Assist with developing content libraries and improved workflows
This role requires experience of civil engineering design, working in Common Data Environments and 3D model coordination software including
Use of ISO19650
In-depth knowledge of Common Data Environments, particularly Bentley ProjectWise & Business Collaborator, BIM360
Knowledge of Data and Model Authoring Software, eg AutoDesk, Bentley and ESRI
Experience with Model Federation Processes and assurance Software (Navisworks, Revizto, Solibri etc)
Previous Project BIM Coordination / Project Information Management experience including the design review process, model management and clash detention in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably in highways or other transportation projects
Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvement in BIM practices
The following would be advantageous:
Basic knowledge of coding languages such as VBA, C, C#, C++, Python
Experience of “moding” PC Games
Experience with MS Teams and SharePoint (Document Libraries and Lists)
Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office, ability to set up Templates with Developer mode, use of Fields and advance formula
Experience of using PowerAutomate, PowerBI (or similar dashboarding tools), PowerShell
Experience with Parametric Design and Generative Design Tools (Generative Components, Dynamo, Grasshopper)
- Bachelors of Degree in Engineering filed.
