If so, we are looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join our team of Fire Engineers to work at Associate Director level nationwide and be based in Edinburgh Manchester or our London Campus (London or St Albans). About Our Team:
AECOM Fire Engineering has a global team of fire consultants working on landmark projects throughout the world. You will lead and support our fire engineers that have a diverse range of experience and training which equips them to deal with all aspects of fire engineering, including structural fire engineering, smoke ventilation design, and academic research projects.
The team have the unique combination of design, technical expertise and experience to deliver functional and innovative design solutions. You will support the team of consultants apply their skills and commercial acumen to deliver functional, cost-effective, pragmatic design solutions targeted to suit the specific needs of our clients on a diversity of sectors.
You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to Lead large projects and support senior directors by carrying out the following:
Serving as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects
Providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
Approving and signing off on work
Providing technical expertise for studies and design efforts
Presenting complex technical solutions to clients/stake holders
Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others
Participate in development of technical proposals
Providing estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects
Relevant degree or professional qualification
Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
Chartership with the Institute of Fire Engineers (or relevant Institution)
A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning
A degree in Fire Engineering (however other relevant subjects would also be considered)
