Job Description
Building Engineering Services is a diverse team committed to offering the best solutions to client’s needs all around the world, banking on our technical expertise and a true partnership mentality. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to hire an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to become part of the team.
This is a hybrid role based in Madrid.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will collaborate in key international projects that are delivered across a diverse range of sectors including Industrial, Healthcare, Aviation, Commercial, Defense, among others.
In the role, you will be expected to:
Complete Electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes.
Make major design recommendations and design decisions with input from senior staff.
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files.
Act as an adviser, reviewing works prepared by other project team members, in case of need.
Evaluate project staffing requirements, analyzes problems, and writes reports.
Attend project meetings with clients or other stakeholders.
Help preparing proposals and presentations.
Assists in project checking for quality control on other projects.
Ability to work on multiple/different projects daily.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or industrial engineering with Electrical Emphasis Engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering design.
Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and current industry best practices.
A strong ethical approach to safety, quality and sustainable design.
Working knowledge of design applications is essential (Caneco, Etap, Revit...).
Fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written).
