Job Description

AECOM is hiring a Market Sector Lead in Los Angeles, CA to be responsible for leading a group of Project Managers, Engineers and Project Controls specialists in Los Angeles, CA for AECOM’s PPM West Region.

  • Manages or provides oversight on a portfolio of projects or capital program(s) of significant size and complexity, and significant financial impact.

  • Provides strategic plan and delivery on key client and program success; has broad program management impact.

  • Prepares and delivers presentations on behalf, and in support of, the client’s program.

  • Assists in the development of proposals and gives presentations to potential clients.

  • Works independently to pursue development of new business prospects.

  • Serves as the single point of contact to the client and acts as a liaison between management and clients on advanced program-related issues.

  • Interacts with executive level government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant program matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Assesses and manages risk on behalf of the client.

  • Lead team building initiatives, manage multiple teams and create standards and business practices for management of projects.

  • Experience with vertical building construction programs within multiple industries to support client growth.

  • KPIs will include client satisfaction, profit/loss, and growth.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or similar and 10+ years managing a team of construction, design and engineering professionals is a must with 2+ years serving in a leadership capacity, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Construction Manager, Program Management Professional, Engineer/Architect Professional Registration (CCM, PgMP, PE or AIA)

  • Master’s degree in architecture, engineering or other related discipline that aligns with AECOM’s Business Lines and the needs of clients in the region is preferred.

  • Experience with leading $500M+ strategic plans or capital programs is required.

  • Established relationships with Municipal and Education clients and firms doing related PM/CM work in the San Diego region

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $142,000.00 - $261,000.00.
