Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented and hardworking Water/ Wastewater Treatment Technologist for employment based in the London, Ontario office.

This position is expected to begin in June 2024.

  • Work both within a design team and independently to prepare detailed CAD design for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects which could include site plans, storm and sanitary sewers, pressurized force mains, building layouts, plans/sections of equipment and piping networks, process flow diagrams, hydraulic profiles, and/or piping and instrumentation diagrams.

  • Provides basic project support in construction administration such as submittal coordination, attend and facilitate meetings, payment certificates, and construction inspection activities.

  • Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, inspecting engineering installations for compliance with specifications, and maintaining project documentation.

  • Make decisions based on a general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve results and to meet project deadlines.

  • Work under the supervision and guidance of a licensed engineer.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • College-accredited Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering Technology or other related field.

  • Understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a related field providing construction inspection or CAD design.

  • Understanding of construction industry, standards, and contract specifications.

  • Experience using BIM360, ProjectWise, Microsoft Teams/ SharePoint, or other document management software.

  • Certified or eligible for certification as an Engineering Technologist and a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $50,000.00 - $63,000.00.
