The Fire Protection team has achieved technical excellence and worldwide recognition. Our Fire Protection Engineers value in understanding the Building Regulations and Fire safety strategy unique requirements, providing strategic advice and developing sustainable innovative design.
This is a role for an established consultancy side fire engineering professional with an established track record of leadership, technical design and business development. Office locations include London (central or St Albans), Manchester or Edinburgh.
We are friendly, busy and motivated with an established track record of successfully delivering local and overseas projects. Some of our flagship work in recent years include; The Lusail Artscape Expressway in Qatar, NewCold International Logistic facilities, Al-Wakrah Stadium 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Boka Bay Beach Resort in Montenegro, Amazon Fulfilment Centres across UK and GE manufacturing facilities in KSA to name but a few.
You will be technically proficient in a broad range of applied fire engineering processes through all phases of project delivery, from design to on-site works to fulfil this role with a national focus. Your background and experience will likely have included - and you will definitely need the following skills or experience
Chartered Engineer with membership status or higher within the Institute of Fire Engineering.
Shaping a Fire Engineering Practice’s technical direction of travel.
Overseeing technical consistency across the Fire Engineering Practice’s project teams and sharing best-practice approaches to ensure technical rigour.
Leading design and construction due diligence reviews on behalf of the Firm relating to its investment portfolio.
Led Research and Development initiatives from raising funding applications through delivery, post-project completion, knowledge dissemination and implementation
Strong understanding of the technical fundamentals of fire engineering - fluid dynamics, evacuation modelling and experience applying common UK guidelines
You will good knowledge of design codes for common building types, such as those used for schools, hospitals, stations, airports and residential projects.
