Are you a Project Surveyor looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?

If so, we are looking for a Project Surveyor to join our team London to work on large-scale Mixed-use and/or Residential schemes. You will be joining a team of like-minded professionals that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

Landmark projects include mixed use commercial developments such as Soho Place, 1 Triton Square, White Collar Factory, Bloomberg HQ, Battersea Power Station Phase 3, Greenwich Peninsula, the Sky Campus in Osterley and residential scheme at the old Lots Road Power Station. We deliver workplace and retail schemes for numerous Clients such as Citibank, JPM, Apple, M+S and John Lewis. We have delivered some of the most prestigious international projects including Commercial Towers in Bogota and the new Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal. We are fortunate enough to be on numerous Public Sector frameworks, giving us access so a wide variety of both Central Government and Local Authority schemes together with a wide mix of Health and Education projects. Our team is augmented by specialist MEP, Utilities and façade QS’s to ensure we deliver all our Clients a first service in the market.

About Our Team:

Our Team in London consists of 120 cost managers, working across sectors and is part of our wider 500 strong UK+I Cost Management team.

You will also have access to AECOM’s industry leading personal development programme via AECOM University and leadership courses such as Evolve, through our structured Performance + Reward system as we are committed to supporting career development post qualification.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide full suite of Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.

  • Support and lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.

  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.

  • Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.

  • Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).

  • Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.

  • Delivery of cost management outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.

  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.

  • Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.

  • Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors.

  • Residential, and/Mixed-use sector experience would be advantageous

  • Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Senior Cost Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.

  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.

  • CSCS card
