Are you ready to lead a team of talented engineers and shape the future of rail infrastructure?

We are searching for a Rail Deputy Project Manager to join us here at AECOM, based in our London Aldgate Office.

Each team member has a development plan to provide a clear pathway to personal development and career progression. The team provides technical leadership of projects throughout the infrastructure lifecycle from feasibility, preliminary and detailed stage designs.

Our clients are many and varied from both the private and public sector and include the major custodians of the UK’s rail network, numerous local authorities, and major Contractors.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Deliver: The projects we deliver are multi-disciplinary where we provide support, you will be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.

  • Provide Expertise: Assist the Project Manager with all functions related to all Rail. Manages design scope, schedule, cost, quality, and forecasts. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project. Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

  • Ensure Quality: Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project. Produces and maintains integrated schedules.Assesses and reports on scheduling conflicts with other third-party work.Monitors and provides cost control management.Prepares progress reports and task plans.

  • Collaborate : Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Works with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within Rail Infrastructure
