Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a

CAD\ Revit MEP Technician to join a busy and expanding Building Services team. (M&E)

to be based in London .

Our Building & Places division provides a multidisciplinary offering consisting of a variety of consultancy services ranging from Civil, Structural and MEP Engineering, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying and Environmental.

The mechanical and electrical engineers we have in our team specialise in healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, sports, and leisure. We are market leaders on large international projects as well as small scale local experts who seek to improve communities through strong design and infrastructure projects.

Some of our flagship work in recent years include; The Luisal Artscape Expressway in Qatar, Olympic venues, Boka Bay Beach Resort, a carbon neutral University Science Centre and the St Pancras Chambers Hotel in London to name but a few.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Modelling 3D MEP services on various projects using Revit MEP for producing Zones, plant, corridors , distribution layouts and also creating sheets.

  • Setting up new Revit projects with appropriate file structures \ templates.

  • To understand and apply BIM standard protocols from design teams BEP document.

  • Attend project workshops when required and also design review meetings.

  • Understand BSRIA RIBA plan of work Stages, LOD \ scope of work.

  • Project delivery, ensuring integration & collaboration of modelling information with other disciplines.

  • Obtain the necessary information both internally and externally design teams.

  • Implement quality control and ensure adherence to standards with consistency of approach across REVIT output.

  • Ensuring all deadlines are met and assisting other team colleagues.

  • Occasionally required to produce\modify 2D AutoCAD work.

Minimum Requirements

  • A very good working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP with proven experience.

  • Good knowledge of Building MEP Services Engineering and some co-ordination skills.

  • Good Navisworks Manage (clash detection \ digital design review) and AutoCAD skills.

  • Interested in using design tools to enable more efficient and accurate production of project deliverables.

  • Good understanding of BIM

  • Good teamwork & communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Autodesk Certified Professional, Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD

  • HNC/HND Building Services Engineering
