Job Summary

Candidate will function as the support lead for Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Demonstration (BAMS-D) testing, operations and analysis as well as the support for the MQ-4C Triton UAS program to Commander Patrol and Reconnaissance Group (CPRG) Training/Transition & Integration (N5/7) and Operations (N3) shop.

Provide Navy Group level management of BAMS-D and BAMS UAS systems activities to include Program Management, Test and Evaluation, Systems Development, Manning, Training, Family of Systems interface, and Funding. Primary point of contact for BAMS-D operational employment, manning and Fleet exercise scheduling.

Serves as Development Advisor for establishing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures for BAMS-D, in efforts to establish risk reduction for the MQ-4CTriton UAS. Primary advisor on CPRG Staff for the operational employment of BAMS-D in support of its Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).

Voice of CPRG during the updates of BAMS-D Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) re-write and MQ-4C Triton UAS Platform Wholeness Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development. Constant and consistent interface with Program Office, senior Navy decision makers, vendors and other contractors to develop, prioritize, and enable future plans goals and objectives for BAMS-D and MQ-4C Triton UAS.

Tasks for the period included but were not limited to:

BAMS-D Operational, Testing and Manning support Lead

Key briefer to all senior Navy leadership coming through CPRG on BAMS-D capabilities and limitations, current and future operations and fleet support expectations.

Continuously coordinate with Fleet Forces Command (FFC), Reserve Focusses Command (RESFOR) and Commander Patrol Reconnaissance Wing 11 the requirements necessary to fill the Individual Augmentee (IA) billets authorized for BAMS-D with appropriate reserve and active duty personnel.

Continuously work with Navy Manpower to ensure the appropriate timing and travel arrangements are ordered for all new active and reserve duty personnel assigned to BAMS-D.

Continuously develop Lessons Learned from the employment of BAMS-D in an operational role as risk reduction of MQ-4C Triton UAS, allowing the system to enter the fleet without delay.

Work with FFC Global Force Management shop (GFM) to ensure BAMS-D remains listed on the Navy Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) thereby allowing funds to be properly allocated for all required IA personnel in the BAMS-D weapons system.

Assist in the development of the detailed BAMS-D operations schedule, taking into account long term requirements, maintenance, and manning requirements, balancing all to achieve the most efficient schedule.

Minimum Requirements

Vocational/Technical School/ Associates degree required

Minimum of ten (10) years technical and/or operational experience that demonstrates the individual is a prominent and recognized authority in the subject matter field. In lieu of the degree requirement, other special or market-scarce skills may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications

USN Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft/Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Forces (MPRA/MPRF) experience desirable. Specific experience in Imagery Analysis and the intelligence collection process in support of the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) community. Operational hands-on experience is important.
