Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a self-driven and motivated Senior Project Manager / Department Manager to oversee the Civil Engineering department and lead civil design components on alternative delivery projects in our Latham, New York office. Projects range from bridges & tunnels, highways & roads to aviation, freight rail and mass transit.

Job Duties:

  • Directs and manages the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

  • Will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Civil Engineering team

  • Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

  • Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.

  • Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Civil Engineering or similar field and 10 years of related project management experience on large-scale, high-profile, design-build construction projects within the transportation sector or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • PE License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading civil design components on alternative delivery projects

  • Previous department leadership and management experience

  • Experience with NYDOT and similar projects

  • Experience overseeing and driving a variety of facets including utility coordination, horizontal and vertical alignments of roadways, ADA compliance, sustainable design and grading / drainage design.

Offered rate of compensation (NY locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $130,000-$170,000.
