Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an immediate need for an experienced Construction Quality Specialist with Airport experience for our ongoing construction project at JFK airport.

Job Description:

  • Technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.

  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.

  • Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.

  • Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.

  • Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.

  • Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.

  • Reviews project process and evaluate results.

  • Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

  • Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.

  • Conducts investigations and tests that are of considerable complexity.

  • Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • BA/BS Engineering/Construction Management or related curriculum and 2 years of experience in Construction Quality Control experience or AA/AS and 4 years of Construction Quality Control experience or HS/GED +6 years of Construction Quality Control experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.

Preferred requirements :

  • Airport Quality Control experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in Construction Quality Control.

  • Experience in the systematic implementation of a quality management systems in the construction industry.

  • Experience with standard construction documentation such as estimating, change orders, RFI’s, punch list etc.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Offered rate of compensation New York City will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $87,778.70/annually - $162,390.59/annually (exempt).
