Job Description
AECOM Hunt has an immediate need for an experienced Construction Quality Specialist with Airport experience for our ongoing construction project at JFK airport.
Job Description:
Technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.
Provides leadership for quality assurance and quality control support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the project is designed, procured and installed in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
Provides leadership for new systems, development, proposals, implementation, procedures and any related quality activity.
Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.
Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
Reviews project process and evaluate results.
Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
Conducts investigations and tests that are of considerable complexity.
Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
- BA/BS Engineering/Construction Management or related curriculum and 2 years of experience in Construction Quality Control experience or AA/AS and 4 years of Construction Quality Control experience or HS/GED +6 years of Construction Quality Control experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
Preferred requirements :
Airport Quality Control experience.
Demonstrated experience in Construction Quality Control.
Experience in the systematic implementation of a quality management systems in the construction industry.
Experience with standard construction documentation such as estimating, change orders, RFI’s, punch list etc.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Offered rate of compensation New York City will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $87,778.70/annually - $162,390.59/annually (exempt).
