Job Description

​​​​​​ AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager. The client site location is in Houston, TX.

The Program Manager responsibilities include:

  • Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in moderately sized projects with moderate risk, complexity, and financial impact.

  • Manages and leads all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes and tools.

  • May include management of small teams across business lines, in remote locations and/or management of subcontractors.

  • Manages projects on a local to regional basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.

  • Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project.

  • Acts as primary point of contact with client.

  • Design/Build experience for projects that vary in value from $150M to $700M

  • LEED Experience preferred.

  • Water Quality laboratory, parking structure and underground parking experience.

  • Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

  • Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

  • Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

  • Review construction documents including plans and specifications; interpret plans and specifications for construction work performed by client's contractors

  • Ensure contractual compliance with plans, specifications, codes and safety requirements

  • Verify that materials being incorporated into project are per specification and with approved construction practices

  • Prepare progress payments to the contractor; review submittals for material and equipment conformance to design specifications and plans.

  • Perform analysis of change orders

  • Negotiate fair and reasonable costs for change orders

  • Prepare change order reports and documents for consideration by the Client.

  • Oversee the start-up of facilities

  • Participate in staff training.

  • Provide technical assistance and support to engineers and project managers

  • Provide technical training as appropriate.

  • Prepare a variety of administrative, technical, and budget reports, memos, letters, and correspondence.

  • Perform constructability reviews.

  • Maintain comprehensive contractual records and periodically monitor progress of all goods and service agreements, from inception through completion, to enforce milestones, deliverables and post-contract warranties.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency and or Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of project management experience.

  • PMP Certification.

  • Prior K-12 or higher education experience.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $106,000.00 - $197,000.00.
