Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Chemical Process Engineer V to work in the Houston, Texas office. This position is contingent upon contract award with an anticipated hire date in January 2019.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed process design.

  • Responsible for engineering and design activities including working directly with other engineers and design drafters to produce engineering documents and designs for various upstream, midstream, and downstream related facilities.

  • Serves as a technical specialist for the group in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles or processes.

  • Plans and develops segments of engineering projects with unique or controversial problems that have an important effect on major organization programs, which involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approaches.

  • Responsible for interfacing with the client on process issues and assuring that the work of other engineering disciplines satisfies process requirements.

  • Assist in the coordination between engineering disciplines, participating in project planning activities, and support cost and schedule updates.

  • Assists Business Line Managers in the development of new business, marketing to potential and existing clients.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in chemical engineering discipline from a four year accredited college or university.

Experience:

  • 8 years of process engineering experience in chemical process engineering and design

  • Development of Piping & Instrumentation and Process Flow Diagrams ( P&ID's and PFD's)

  • Development of Process Models

  • Previous experience with upstream oil and gas production facilities

  • Previous experience with midstream processing equipment and facilities

  • Previous experience with steam system and utility process design

  • Experience utilizing process simulation software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference of 12 or more years of engineering experience

  • Professional Engineering License

  • Experience using Aspen HYSYS simulation software

  • Experience with Excel VBA, and custom Excel interfaces
