Job Description – Marketing & Communications Manager, India

In partnership with the Managing Director for India and the Europe and India marketing and communications team this role is responsible for developing and delivering both brand and growth objectives for the AECOM India. Working as part of a global matrix, the postholder will also support internal communications initiatives to promote collaboration and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications: Develop and lead the execution of a strategic marketing and communications plan that aligns with the India business goals and objectives. This includes creating messaging frameworks, content strategies, and channels to effectively reach target audiences.

  • Advisor to Leadership: Build strong relationships with senior leadership and serve as a trusted marketing and communications advisor. Provide strategic counsel on messaging, reputation management, and crisis communication.

  • Champion Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the India team and across sectors. Challenge existing norms and processes to drive creativity and excellence in activity.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and prioritise key stakeholders, including those that have an impact on the employee value proposition and brand positioning within the market. Develop strategies to engage and build relationships with these groups.

  • Content Creation: Oversee the development of compelling and relevant content, including town halls, leadership communication, articles, internal social media updates, and other materials that align with India strategic messaging.

  • People Engagement: support in the people spotlights and promoting ourEmployee Value Proposition to existing employees and the external market working with the TA marketing lead to support recruitment and staff attraction.

  • Strategic Marketing Campaigns: Working with business line marketing teams and discipline teams to provide ialignement within India and support on key strategic marketing campaigns/priorities.

  • Campaigns: Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team for Europe and India in support delivery of India campaigns aligned to the business strategy.

  • Elevating AECOM in India: Liaise with the Europe and India Marketing & Communications team to ensure India content is showcased and promoted more broadly through all the relevant marketing and communications platforms. Liaise with the Regional Business Line marcomms leads to make sure India is well represented within the regional and global business.

  • Digital Media: Bring new thinking and best practice into their work including the application of digital media.

Role requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years marketing communications’ experience working within a large multinational, preferably professional services organisation across different industries and business lines and/or functions.

  • Influencing and stakeholder management skills: Can interact at a senior level, providing credible advice and guidance, as well as building good networks and relationships at all levels of an organisation.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English including writing, editing, and proofreading. Should also be good in speaking Hindi.

  • Ability to work alongside senior stakeholders including training, coaching, and consulting to build AECOM’s brand in India.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise a variety of projects and tasks, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail and be able to work equally effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Client centric attitude, embracing the company brand and values

  • Digital skills: Experience in delivering content through multi-media and digital platforms i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter.

  • Understanding of GDPR and ability to advocate best practice to ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business Studies, or related degree level education

  • Marketing & communications experience in a professional services environment at a management level
