AECOM Engineer 2 in Greenwood Village, Colorado

AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer 2 in the Greenwood Village, CO responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase for projects of moderate complexity under the general supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer or Design Supervisor. This position requires the use of 3D modeling software to create drawings for electrical systems in government facilities. The Design Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.
Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university
A minimum of 3 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience
Must have an intermediate level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems
Experience in electrical equipment and cable sizing
Experience in 2D and 3D building design in AutoCAD, Microstation or SmartPlant
Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen. Must not have Dual Citizenship.
Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Position may require travel.
PE license or EIT Certification (please indicate in profile)
DOE/DOD project experience
Advanced level of experience in communications and security systems
Experience in using SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, SmartPlant Electrical and SmartPlant Instrumentation
Experience in using BIM, Revit
Experience in SKM, ETAP Power System Analysis software
