We’re looking for a dynamic and talented Senior or Principal Technician to join our Bridges Team in Glasgow. You will be working as part of a 40-strong Bridges team, with some of the best technicians and engineers in the country. You will collaborate with our roads, rail and ground engineering teams as part of a multi-disciplinary skills hub in the Glasgow City Centre.

Job Duties :
Deliver : Our Technician team work with BIM modelling software to deliver models and drawings at all stages of projects using software including Microstation, Revit & Openbridge Modeller. You would be expected to join this effort.
Innovate: The technology used for digital engineering is developing and changing. We require someone that is adaptable and willing to work with different software and embrace new technology. Autodesk and Bentley workflows in modelling, drawing composition all co-ordinated in the relevant Common Data Environment are part of our need. The successful candidate will require to work within these established workflows, and work to continuously improve them.
Lead: In addition to embracing new technologies and developing yourself, you would be expected to lead and develop others. Considering your senior role you would be expected to nurture junior technicians and engineers and share your experience and knowledge with them

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
Experienced Bridges Technician, ideally with 5 years+ of detailing experience specific to the Bridges discipline
RC detailing experience, CADS-RC or 3-D rebar modelling
Experience of working in a Common Data Environment (CDE) such as Projectwise or ACC 360
Preferably BIM Modelling skills (Microstation/Revit/Openbridge Modeller)
Who You Are:
An experienced bridges technician who understands how bridges work.
A conscientious and diligent Technician who is passionate about getting things right and delivering a quality product with minimal supervision.
Someone who is keen to learn, develop and synergize with like-minded technicians and engineers. Proven ability to transfer existing 2D platform skills to the 3D Digital environment.
