We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager with proven experience gained within a construction consultancy setting, and specifically with a prior focus on projects within a Defence infrastructure setting, to join us in Scotland where you will be based from our Glasgow office.
Our team has significantly grown in the last few years and is continuing to attract high performing individuals looking to progress their career and work on bespoke and interesting projects.
As a Senior Cost Manager joining our team, here’s what you’ll do:
Provide effective support, mentoring and line management to Project Surveyors, Graduates and Apprentices.
NEC 3/4 contract administration
Leading projects from a Cost Management perspective from inception to completion.
Production of cost estimates, cost plans, procurement and tendering advice, through to post-contract delivery of valuations, change control, reporting and final account.
Taking responsibility for the delivery of projects and managing support teams.
Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
Be an interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
Professional Qualified – Chartered Status with the RICS.
NEC 3 /4 experience working with NEC Project Manager.
Proven experience in Cost Management providing a full spectrum of deliverables throughout projects.
Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
Experience of project types/sizes/sectors within UK – i.e. Defence, Aviation, Maritime, Healthcare, Higher Education and Mixed Use.
Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender documentation tools shall be essential.

Additional Information
Due to the nature of the work undertaken successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance.
This role will also require you to work onsite in Glasgow 3 days per week.
